Pull handles

Pull handles
Pull handles were often used in historical buildings on the entrance door to the hallway or corridor (behind the storm door). These swing doors (often equipped with a spring hinge called a ‘hawgood’) were not applied with door handles, but with pull handles on both sides. Nowadays these pull handles are also applied to sliding doors because these handles are easier to use compared to the formerly used recessed handles.
In the period from 1890 to 1940, pull handles were carried out in various styles, such as elegant art nouveau in the 1920s to the 1930s modern design. We have a very large collection of (200 different) pull handles of models applied in Europe from the period mentioned above.

Why should you buy Retro-deurbeslag’s pull handles?
We distinguish ourselves by selling pull handles which are exactly the same in size and shape as the former handles. We are not guided by the door hardware of today, which is often too large and coarse.
We find it much more important that a pull handle is in the right proportion to the door on which it is applied.
The pull handles are reproductions from 1890 to the mid-1930s.

Our range of pull handles
Available in the following variants: nickel (shiny, as originally applied), antique brass (antique bronze patina), polished brass and satin nickel (brushed nickel).
The pull handles are combined with ebony or bakelite, they look almost the same. Bakelite is a little shinier, while ebony has a small wood grain.
The solid pull handles models are completely made of brass, nickel or antique brass, and can be used outside.
The cast iron pull handles are available in black (powder coated) and grey (the colour of the iron), combined with teak.
Pull handles are applied on ensuite doors, cabinet doors, windows, and kitchen cabinets.
All our products are in stock and available immediately.
